West Springs Free Methodist Church

The West Springs Cougar Ridge Community Association is hosting an in-person screening of Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience. This film examines the science behind teens' emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age. The event will be facilitated by a moderator followed by a post-film discussion session with experts from our community who work with youth.

This in-person screening is targeted for parents of kids 10 years old and up. Considering the film's documentary style, length and content, parents can either see the film separately or bring their 10+ children with them. Please note the children featured in this film are in middle and high school.

Click here for a preview (trailer) of the film or get more info by clicking the Screenagers website.

Registration for this event is now open and the fee is $10 per family for members and non-members. All proceeds will be donated to the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation's new Centre for Child & Adolescent Mental Health; click here for more info on the Centre: Build Them Up.
